Att ha ord: IT-språket i vardagen

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of access to words and expressions commonly used in the Information Society. Language is seen as an analytical tool for the individual’s internal reflections and transformation of information into knowledge. In order to learn, and to be able to express opinions, we need an adequate language. As the use of information technology is rapidly spreading to new segments of society, it meets with users unfamiliar to the language of technology as well as to the expressions in English that accompany it.
