The Zoom Browser : Showing Simultaneous Detail and Overview in Large Documents

Abstract

We have developed a novel visualization technique, flip zooming, which is capable of providing both overview and details when working with large texts on computer screens. To test the method, we have implemented the Zoom Browser, which uses flip zooming to present web pages. We believe that applications based on flip zooming can offer many interesting possibilities when users need to work with large documents on computers.
